15-18U Team Levels  Offered
(Team-specific schedules and pricing will be published in our program guides, coming July 2025.)

NC Elite National National Team Program - designed for the athlete pursuing high level competition, often aspiring future collegiate-level volleyball opportunities.  These teams have competitive tournament and training schedules and will face high level competition from across the country (primarilary Southeast and Mid-Atlantic), requiring a significant time and personal commitment from the student athlete.  NC Elite coaches and administrators have helped student-athletes earn more than $12M in scholarship and athletic aid and are committed to helping players and parents successfully navigate the college recruiting process.

About the NC Elite Regional Team Program: designed for players with multiple interests or the multi-sport athlete seeking skill development and competition experience, and to athletes new to the sport, or aspiring to make competitive Middle School and High School volleyball teams.  Regional teams play the majority of their season in North Carolina, but also compete in at least two multi-day tournaments.  The Regional teams provide players experience in competing in Carolina Region tournaments, supplemented with competition against other NC Elite Regional Teams.

NC Elite Local Team Program: Targeted specifically to the intermediate to experienced volleyball player looking to continue developing skills, while not committing to a full travel team experience.  Training is designed to build on already developed skills, refine technique and advance game knowledge and experience.   Coaches will work toward applying skill development to game application and court play. All players will train together in group practice sessions with an emphasis on individual skill development. Teams break out for game preparation with all competition being held in the local Raleigh area.

Practice Player Program - Practice players are players who participate in team practices and enjoy the benefits of other programming offered in the organization, without the commitment to travel.  These positions also offer the ability for teams to work on game-scenarios and line-ups by filling the roster and competing in scrimmages during team practices.  Practice players do not compete in tournaments but may participate in NC Elite scrimmages and may serve as back-up players in case of illness or injury to a team member, and at the discretion of the NC Elite coaches and administrators.

Practice Player / Training Team Option

NC Elite is happy to offer again this year a training-only option for those players who would like to continue training outside of High School season, but may be unable to travel due to other commitments (e.g. multi-sport athletes, etc.).  Tryouts are required for a training position so we can insure the best fit for the player and team.  Please be sure to indicate in your tryouts registration if you are only interested in a practice player / training option.  Costs and schedules will be posted in the team guides, to be released soon.

What happens following tryouts?

1Evaluation & Team Selection
NC Elite coaches and management will assess athlete skill, attitude, athleticism and potential to determine team selection and make player offers.  We will work in the most efficient way possible to expedite making offers.

2. Offer Notification
Teams will be comprised of up to 13 full time players, plus additional training/practice players, as determined feasible.  No more than 13 full time player offers will be made following the primary tryouts.   Offers will be made by contacting parents (listed as primary contacts in Sports Engine registration) via phone, text messaging, and/or email.  Parents should be sure to monitor texts, phones and email (inboxes and spam folders).  Our goal is to update all players within 24 hours of the last tryout session in a specific age group (including supplemental tryout sessions).   Please be patient as we work to make offers and updates as fast as possible.  Also, if you know you will accept or decline an offer, please do so as soon as possible so we can offer more certainty to players who are still waiting.

3Your Decisions
We request that you notify us of your decision (accept or decline) as soon as you have made your decision and within 48 hours of the of the first scheduled tryout or within 24 hours of the offer being made, whichever occurs later, so we can move forward with the team selection process and offer certainty to other players.  If the offer has not been accepted or we have not heard from you after this period, your offer may be extended to another player.  Declined offers will be immediately extended to another player and will no longer be available to you.   Once you accept our offer, please notify other clubs and stop attending their tryouts to help make their process easier.  If you accept an offer from another club or choose to decline our offer, please let us know immediately by emailing info@ncelitevb.org.

4. Official Signing with NC Elite
NC Elite season registration begins immediately following acceptance of an offer.  Completed commitment, registration and first payment is due within 24 hours of an accepted offer.
