Volley U™ training sessions, teams and tournaments (RAVE Tournaments) are specifically designed to develop proper fundamentals and techniques, an understanding of and experience in game scenarios and rotations. Through progressive skill building, participants will see major improvement in their performance. Coaches will work toward applying skill development to game application and court play. All players will train together in group practice sessions with an emphasis on individual skill development. Teams break out for game preparation.  

This is a registration-based program, no tryouts are required.  Players are accepted on a first come basis.  This program does fill up quickly so we suggest early registration.

Training Times:  (10U-13U)1:00-2:30, (13U-14U)2:30-4:00
Note, NC Elite reserves the abiliy to move players to alternate training sessions based on age eligibility and level of play.  Any changes will be communicated with parents directly.

RAVE Times:  All Day Event; schedules posted the week of the event
VolleyU Serving Clinic (tentative and subject to change):  Friday, January 12, 7:30-8:30pm
Location:  Ravenscroft School, Raleigh
Cost:  $875 single payment due upon registration, or 2 payments, $525 due upon registration and $350 due December 1.
Included:  10 Training sessions, 4 RAVEs, 1 serving clinic, 1 practice/competition T shirt

Capacity:  A limited number of positions are available for the 2023-2024 season.  Players may be placed in training sessions based on age and physical and skill capability.

No refunds are offered for this program.  This program fills to capacity.  If a player tries out for and accepts a position on an NC Elite travel team, payment may be transferred to that team.​​​​​​Please note that we are unable to offer make up tournaments or training dates, or offer refunds in the event of cancellation due to weather or other events that are not within the control of NC Elite.

Spectator Policy
Practices will be closed to spectators to allow for efficient operations and to minimize distraction for athletes and staff.  Spectators will be allowed for RAVEs, with some limitations based on capacity restrictions in the facility.  Parents will be notified of RAVE schedules in the week leading up to the RAVEs.    Please do not email / text / call about schedules, as this information will be sent and posted as soon as they are available.  We work to develop schedules that will match age and skills and are dependent on previous RAVE results.  This takes some time and consideration as we progress through the season and appreciate your consideration of the efforts we make to ensure a positive experience for all players.    

Drop-off / Pick-up Procedures
Ravenscroft School AE Finley Auxiliary Gym and Billerman Court:
Ravenscroft is located at 7409 Falls of Neuse Road. When entering campus, pass through Bell Entrance (32) and  take the first right out of Sloan Circle (27).  Immediately turn left into Lots B/C.  Follow to the third parking bay, nearest to the Keim Building (20) and follow toward the Middle School (15).  Drop off immediately in front of the Middle School sign.  Players will walk along the Middle School walkway toward the AE Finley Center (9).  Players should arrive 10 minutes prior to their scheduled event.  Ravenscroft School is a K-12 school with a significant amount of activity occurring on weekdays and weekends.  Please be sure to follow the 15 MPH speed limit throughout campus and drive with caution.  Note that the gates off of Newton Road (30) and the Winston Entrance (33) are currently locked for enhanced security. Click HERE for Ravenscroft School Campus Map.
